Artix Entertainment has begun developing a new 3D Online Multiplayer game today, the game will be developed under the name of "AQ3D" as stands for "AQWorlds 3D" or maybe "AdventureQuest 3D".
The website domain name for this game is AQ3D.artix.com, which is currently only a black screen with the logo of the new 3D game in the middle.
About the technical stuff and how this game is being made, I THINK (not official) that the game will be ran using the Unreal Engine.
Why? because the new version of Unreal Engine runs inside flash and AE team always work on Adobe Flash to create games, so the 3D idea is not new for them except on the new design.

Things just got interesting: Epic Games has announced that their incredibly popular Unreal Engine 3 now works in Adobe Flash, demoing a version of Unreal Tournament 3 running inside the new Adobe Flash Player 11.
That means porting existing games to work in a browser-based solution — and there are a ton of games on Unreal Engine 3 — would be more or less turnkey.

Nobody knows yet if it will be laggy or not, but i am sure that it will be better than AQWorlds when it comes to lag!

People people, this is A.E, not Jagex you won't be able to transfer items from AQW to AQ3D, if they didn't do it for AQ to AQW then i why for AQW to AQ3D? Its lazy, plus they'd have to remake everything into 3D, but since its a fresh new start they are making NEW items not remaking stuff, well they might for events only well. So people just know this, don't be lazy just EARN/BUY ITEM e.e
You'll have to downgrade your flash version in order to play! beside the server is currently offline, and expected to go online this month.
